Flag Poles Make Great Addition to RV or Toy Haulers
One of the great things about RVs is all of the accessories you can get for them. An RV is, after all, your own home and an extension of you, so it should be as unique as you are. By using flag poles, you can help give your home a little flair, but also have fun, too. And then you can have even more fun choosing and mixing up flags, pennants or ribbons to really make your RV stand out.
Of course, bare poles are a little strange to look at, but if that’s the kind of person you are, go for it. A bare pole on your RV or hauler will definitely be different. You also may choose not to fly flags while the vehicle is in motion, but once you get to a good camp ground, you can then put up flags and flag poles to help personalize your space.
Practical Uses
Is there actually a practical use to making your RV, toy hauler or even your car stand out? Actually, there is. Have you ever come out of a store to a crowded parking lot and suddenly discovered a sea of look-alike vehicles? It saves a lot of time, stress and shoe leather to just look out for a flag than a particular vehicle.
Also, the more distinctive you make your vehicle or toy hauler, the less likely it will picked up by thieves. They prefer to focus on vehicles that are not likely to be noticed by the general public. But, if a big RV goes down the highway with a smiley-face pendant atop of a flag pole, then fellow drivers (and police) are much more likely to be able to remember seeing such a vehicle.
Fun Uses
Most flag poles are made of weather-resistant, flexible fiberglass. It’s best to get a pole that is telescopic and is easy to take on and off. Think outside of the flag box (so to speak) when considering what to place on top of your fiberglass, telescoping pole. Some people now put on wind socks, streamers or even very small kites, which makes drivers all around you grin. It sure beats going to an RV campground and finding a sea of American flags. Let’s face it – if you don’t know what country you’re in, you shouldn’t be getting behind the wheel of an RV.
Other things RV enthusiasts like to place atop of flag poles are lights. This could be one single LED strobe light on the pole’s top or a kit to make your pole light up like a Christmas tree. It sure makes you more visible to other drivers and safer.
